Of course, it is understandable that we have a lot of concerned customers on the phone or that a lot of families are still pondering whether to cancel the booking or to continue with your long planned holiday?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How to travel to Mallorca in times of covid-19?<\/a> We would like to comment on how Mallorca deals with the corona virus at the moment and how the general behavior is. Anyone with concerns or special questions can of course contact us.

Are the Mallorcans worried that one could be infected or that even a tourist could bring the virus with them?<\/span> Of course, with all media reports, this would also be extremely strange if it would not be like this.<\/span> Are we in panic?<\/span> No!<\/span> Neither in restaurants, at the airport nor in supermarkets.<\/span> No crazy growcery shopping and empty shelves in our supermarkets. A<\/span>t the airport and in restaurants, you will still receive a warm and friendly welcome. Bigger events and sport parties are cancelled to be on the safe site. Anyway, you probably want to come to relax and discover the nature.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Who wants to date information about the safety here in Spain before booking, you can check also directly <\/span><\/span>on your offical government website.<\/a><\/p>\n

Do I have to worry about traveling to Mallorca? <\/u><\/em><\/h5>\n

Basically right now you won’t need to have any serious concerns about starting your trip.<\/span> It is just as dangerous as visiting the supermarket at home.<\/span> Maybe a little more relaxed.<\/span> And when you book your holiday house rental in Mallorca<\/a> of course you have your house and the pool area all to yourself.<\/span> Since you are of course concerned about the extent of the virus, we recommend that you inform yourself about the current situation and not to panic through the media.<\/span> There is no travel warning for Spain right now.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Is my flight going at all?
\n<\/u><\/em><\/h5>\n

+++ In the moment there are only cancelations from flights to and from Italy. Some aerlines reuced their flight contingentdue to the low demand +++<\/p>\n

As we have customers currently arriving and departing on the island, we can inform you that there are currently no problems with the planes and at the airport in Palma de Mallorca. By today the only flight connections cancelled are the one to and from Italy, which is due to the sharpened situation in Italy. The travelers had and still have the possibility to rebook for another flight free of charge. In such cases we will of course also be happy to try to postpone your booking with the house owners, of course whenever the house is available.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Depending on where you live, you can of course also choose to travel by car.<\/span> Of course, this is not worth it with a “short break”, but especially in spring and autumn we also have guests who arrive by car taking the ferry from the mainland.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How can I protect myself against the corona virus?<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/em><\/h5>\n

There is currently no vaccination against the coronavirus, but the Federal Foreign Office advises to vaccinate against influenza in order to avoid unnecessary suspected cases.<\/span> According to the Chinese authorities, a possible vaccine is currently being developed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A few tips that you can follow in daily life and traveling :<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • proper hand hygiene<\/strong> – wash your hands frequently and don’t touch your face with unwashed hands, which of course never have been a bad idea!<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Avoid major events and keep aprox. 1m distance<\/strong> from people who are already ill or people who cough or sneeze a lot.<\/span> Even if this usually<\/span> only suffer from a flue or allergy but better safe than sorry, right? <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Even if it does not really protect you from the virus, it is advisable to reduce the filters<\/strong> that cause fear or panic.<\/span> In this case it is the media.<\/span> Due to the extreme use of social media and especially live tickers, you neither protect yourself nor your family.<\/span> Treat yourself to a break from it and follow the advice of doctors.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
