The most important local markets of Mallorca – there are mainly six in different areas of Mallorca. They will be able to enjoy the best local products buying in the different recommended villages. Or of course also in the middle of the old neighborhood of Palma. There are weekly markets, seasonal or weekend.
It is really amazing the number of markets that are held in Mallorca throughout the year and that show us more and more how wonderful this island is. Besides enjoying our time, it allows us to know the villages, their special places and the reasons for their celebrations.
PALMA
During several days of the week, from 10am to 2pm on the Paseo Sagrera in Palma, you will enjoy the atmosphere and the mornings that are lived in the city.
You will also find the organic market. Its objective is to offer the direct sale of organic, local and seasonal products. A fair price for farmers and consumers. It takes place in the Bishop’s Square Berenguer de Palou known as the “Plaza de los Patines” on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
ARTÀ
In Artà, the market opens on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., with a wide variety of textiles, gardening and fresh, ecological and native products of the island.
MARRATXÍ
On Sunday there is the most outstanding market of Marratxí. In this town, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., you will find a variety of weekend products. All of them are grown by the farmers themselves and many other handmade products.

With more than 60 stalls, the oldest market in the area of Calvià, offers us every Monday products in textile and typical food of the island. In this area, the Antiques and Second Hand Market of Son Bugadelles stand out. It is celebrated every Saturday. We can find the most representative of these second-hand markets and antiques, collectors’ items, stamps, coins and antique furniture.
SENCELLES
Every Wednesday and Saturday, the beautiful town of Sencelles opens its market from 8:00 in the morning until 2:00 p.m. The tour of its streets will be captivating.
ALARÓ
Every Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and coinciding with the organ concert of the Church of Sant Bartomeu, we recommend the market of the pretty village of Alaró. Quantity of footwear, clothing, artisan products and typical foods are those offered throughout the year. Whether with friends or family, this market will make you enjoy your relaxing weekend.
